Hollow

Contributed by Charles Dean Walker

Hollow, nothing there.
See emptiness here.
Dark black hole.
Sinking in black.
Angel wings don’t carry.
That is attached.
Face in mirror.
Nobody looks back.
Everything’s black.
Little line of gray.
How are you today?

Golden Years

Contributed by Shirley G. Platt

Come a little closer, dear,
And wipe away the tear;
Cast aside all the fears
Approaching the golden years.
 â€˜Tis time to free your heart to sing
And some joy, to others, gladly bring;
A time for your fragrance, everywhere,
To permeate the air!

Now when all is said and done,
And you’re in view of the setting sun,
You’ll have walked the path, oh, so sweet,
Knowing that the lovely tapestry is complete!
