Are you a collector? A hoarder? An artist? Now is your chance to transform your collected objects into art.
The Art Cafe in Palmer is pleased to announce its second annual community juried art show, “REIMAGINE: A Recycled Art Show,” coming this October. The event celebrates creativity using recycled materials, including used items, rusty relics, curious artifacts, found objects, old dolls, forgotten toys and more. Beyond the art itself, the show also raises awareness about waste and pollution.
REIMAGINE invites anyone with a love for recycling and a passion for the planet to participate. Through innovative artwork made primarily from recycled materials, the show brings the principles of reduce, reuse and recycle to life. Art with a conscience, made from what we throw away.
Teens through adults are encouraged to participate, and artists of all skill levels are welcome. Artwork must be made from at least 90% recycled materials, with pieces no larger than 24”x24”x24”. Any medium or style is acceptable, provided it demonstrates creativity and innovation in recycled art.
The deadline to submit artwork is September 30 at 5pm. Artists can pick up a prospectus at The Art Cafe register or online at theartcafeak.com/gallery/f/reimagine-a-recycled-art-show-prospectus.
There is no entry fee, and all art should be for sale. Artists are encouraged to set a sale price that reflects a 25% gallery commission. Ribbons will be awarded for first, second and third place, along with People’s Choice and plenty of bragging rights.
REIMAGINE will be on display throughout October 2026, with a First Friday gallery opening October 2, 5-7pm at The Art Cafe.
