I’m excited to announce that Make A Scene Media and 95.5 The Pass are bringing internationally touring violinist, fiddler and singer-songwriter Chris Murphy back to Alaska this fall for the Fiddle & Forest Tour!
What intrigues me most about Chris is his versatility as a violinist and fiddler. His shows can move from an intimate song into a high-energy performance that gets the crowd clapping and stomping.
Chris has spent much of 2026 touring Europe, with shows in Germany, Belgium, Italy, the Netherlands and England.
His new album, Songs From the Trees, was recorded with Seth Lakeman in a 16th-century monastery in England and released last month on Teahouse Records. My personal favorites are the title track, “Songs From the Trees,” along with “300 Days at Sea” and “Clean Break.” His music was also recently featured in the MGM+ series The Westies, starring J.K. Simmons, known for his roles in Whiplash and the Spider-Man films.
Chris has been composing and performing for more than 30 years, with shows across more than 40 states and throughout Europe. I’m excited to help bring him back to Alaska and give more people here a chance to see him live.
Full tour dates will be announced soon, but for now I’m happy to share the first official date: October 1, Everett’s Restaurant / Mat-Su Resort, Wasilla.
